Four Must-Visit Cafes When Golfing in Kelowna
You’ve just finished a satisfying game with your friends at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf & Country Club. Since the golf course is only minutes away from downtown Kelowna, you have an abundance of trendy joints to explore—but what will you pick? Check out our selection of must-visit cafes for your Kelowna golf trip.
1. GioBean Espresso
While this isn’t a full restaurant, it’s a great place to stop if you’re peckish and need a pick-me-up. Its coffee roasts are unique and highly stylized. It beat out Starbucks, placing second behind Tim Horton’s, to win the Best Coffee House Award from Welcome to Kelowna magazine. Even though the cafe itself is small, there is outside seating. You may also want to treat yourself to some pastries or gelato.
2. Mad Mango Cafe
Located right on Bernard Ave, if you’re a fan of Asian food, this place may be worth a try after a long day of golfing in the Okanagan Valley. Almost everything on the menu is less than $10, including the curries, and serves breakfast all day. The Mad Mango cafe is also gluten-free friendly and vegan friendly.
3. Kekuli Cafe
This delightful cafe is located just outside of downtown Kelowna, in West Kelowna. Its specialty is Bannock bread, which is a kind of fried bread. It also serves Buffalo burgers, smoothies, sandwiches, tacos and other lunch items that are easy on the wallet. Tell everyone about how you did on the green if you have your laptop with you—this cafe has free WiFi.
4. The Bread Company
Another gem on Bernard Ave right in downtown Kelowna, this place has a little bit of everything for the hungry golfer: sandwiches, breakfast items, pastries, and cakes. If wedding bells are ringing while your golf clubs are swinging, the Bread Company will cater.
